Scientists at The National Center for Natural Products Research (NCNPR) at the University of Mississippi, the nation’s only university-affiliated research center devoted to creating pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals derived from natural products, discovered and isolated immune-stimulatory extracts from inside the rind of the aloe plant, which are exclusively used by Sustainable Youth® Technologies.
Tests with human cell lines located the source of Aloe Vera’s immune system stimulation, and discovered that Aloeride®, with a high molecular weight between 2 to 7 million daltons, provides macrophage activation in excess of any of Aloe Vera’s polysaccharides.
Considered the most potent immune-stimulatory ingredient derived from Aloe Vera in the simulation of macrophage activation, the immune system's first line of defense, Aloeride® is used in the company’s proprietary, organic, active complex Alasta™, which is featured in the company’s Immune Performance™ line of products.
